Zayn All-Natural Beauty & Wellness Suites Holds Ribbon Cutting

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held Monday, June 21st at Zayn All Natural Beauty & Wellness Suites assisted by the Greater Florence Chamber of Commerce. Chamber ambassadors joined in the celebration.  The shop is located at 2724 W. Palmetto St. Suite 1-2 in Florence.  Owner ShaQuana Myers said she and her sister Destiney Baker, and mother, Valerie Baker, offer a variety services at the shop, including, but not limited to, hair styling, hair removal by anesthetics. Cryo therapy, skin tightening, pain relief, facials, pedicures and manicures, skin care and internal health care products, natural herbs, tonics, home fragrances, hand dipped incense, lemon baths and day spa.  Myers said they have two locations in Florence. She opened this one about a year and four months ago. She has another shop on Evans Street that she opened in April 2020.

Linda’s Boutique Celebrates Grand Opening with Ribbon Cutting

Linda’s Boutique caters to the mature woman and has clothing, accessories and shoes. The boutique opened Jan. 12 at 2117-B W. Palmetto St., and held a ribbon cutting on Wednesday, June 9th for its grand opening. Cutting the ribbon was Owner Linda Lane. She was joined by Laurie Keeton, part time employee; Linzie Batchelor, marketing; and the Greater Florence Chamber of Commerce staff and ambassadors. Lane was in the clothing retail business prior to opening her shop in Florence. She operated Linda’s Boutique in Manning for about 12 years. Lane said it is wonderful to be in Florence. She said the reception has been great.

Missy’s and The Venue Opens New Location with a Ribbon Cutting

Missy’s restaurant held a ribbon cutting on Wednesday, June 2nd at its new location, 300 Whitman Ave. Owner Susan Missy Gillespie has combined her two businesses, Missy’s and The Venue, at one location. The Greater Florence Chamber of Commerce and its ambassadors participated in the celebration. Wednesday also marked Gillespie’s 25th year in business. Gillespie said she is excited to offer people in the area another place to hold events as well as enjoy good soul food. Missy’s was previously located at 257 N. Coit St. and The Venue at 1210 W. Evans St. in Florence. The new location was the former Golden Crown Chinese Restaurant.

Freddy’s Opens on Pamplico Highway with a Ribbon Cutting

Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers officially opened in Florence at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 1st with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.  Franchise owner Brett Rickert was joined by the Greater Florence Chamber of Commerce and its ambassadors, his father and partner Stan Rickert and the Freddy’s team for the celebration.  Cutting the ribbon was General Manager Cormika Johnson-Richburg.  Located at 1104 Pamplico Highway near MUSC Health Florence Medical Center, Freddy’s is known for its cooked-to-order steakburgers, Vienna Beef hot dogs, shoestring fries and frozen custard treats made with freshly churned chocolate or vanilla frozen custard.

On The Go Cuts Ribbon for Second Location in Florence

A ribbon cutting was held at On The Go on Thursday, May 27th, celebrating its membership in the Greater Florence Chamber of Commerce. Store Manager Nicki Paige cut the ribbon. She was joined by the owner and his family, store staff, Chamber staff and Chamber Ambassadors for the celebration. The store opened in late April at 305 Pamplico Highway. The Pamplico Highway location represents the second On The Go in Florence for Johnny Rishmawi, Owner of the gas station/convenience store. He opened the first location at 2019 Alligator Road.

Anything Customs Printing & Apparel Celebrates Joining Chamber with Ribbon Cutting

Anything Customs Printing & Apparel held a ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Greater Florence Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday, May 26th celebrating its move and expansion and its membership in the Chamber.  Reginald Stigger, Owner, cut the ribbon. Joining in the celebration were employees, family, Chamber staff and ambassadors.  Anything Customs Printing & Apparel has moved from Third Loop Road to its new location at 2415 Second Loop Road. He opened his business five years ago on Third Loop Road.

The Manor Celebrates Expansion with New Club House

A ribbon cutting was held at The Manor in Florence on Tuesday, May 18th, celebrating the completion and opening of the new Asbury Village Club House. Sharing in this celebration was the Greater Florence Chamber of Commerce. Chamber ambassadors and staff attended the event. The Manor is a full Continuum of Care Retirement Community at 2100 Twin Church Road in Florence. It has approximately 220 residents. Formerly the Methodist Manor, the retirement community opened in December 1991. “We offer independent living options, assisted living, memory care and skilled nursing,” said Sarah Benton, the Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

VBC LP Holds Ribbon Cutting In the James Allen Plaza To Celebrate Chamber Membership

VBC LP held a ribbon cutting in the James Allen Plaza on Dargan Street Thursday, May 13th in celebration of joining the Greater Florence Chamber of Commerce. Managing partner Vincent Coe cut the ribbon and was joined by chamber ambassadors and staff. VBC LP (Balcony Advisors) is a partnership that was formed in 2020.

Camellia’s Home Care Holds Ribbon Cutting

Camellia’s Home Care celebrated its membership in the Greater Florence Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday, May 11th with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Owner Shiandra Davis cut the ribbon and celebrated with family, friends and Chamber staff and ambassadors. The non-medical home care business is located at 3656 S. Irby St. in Florence. Davis said she provides non-medical home care services, catering to the disability and senior community. She works with a staff of five, including nurses and personal care aides.

Influence Digital Agency Holds Ribbon Cutting with Florence Chamber

Influence Digital Agency celebrated its Florence connection and joining the Greater Florence Chamber of Commerce on Monday, May 3rd. The ribbon cutting was held in the James Allen Plaza on Dargan Street. Joining owner Lance Lewis were Chamber staff, Chamber Ambassadors and Josh Richardson, Sales Director, and Richardson’s wife, Erika. Influence Digital Agency is a small ad agency focusing on small to medium size businesses based in North and South Carolina, Lewis said. The company was established in North Carolina and most recently branched out into the Florence area. Lewis said 100 percent of their focus is on the Florence market at this time. Richardson will be serving the Florence/Myrtle Beach area. He has nearly 25 years of digital advertising sales. Lewis said Richardson previously worked for one of the top three media groups. He said Richardson’s experience in digital advertising will be invaluable to this area.
