Freedom Family Care Joins Chamber

Dr. Brian Hanna along with his wife Kim, co-owners of Freedom Family Care. their staff and Chamber Ambassador cut the ribbon on their grand opening while joining the Greater Florence Chamber of Commerce on Thursday, June 1st.

Freedom Family Care is a Direct Primary Care outpatient clinic in Florence, SC. They provide primary care services to people ages birth through geriatrics. Direct Primary Care is different from traditional medicine in that they take a limited number of patients and provide 24/7 access to those patients for primary care services. They do not take medical insurance, and Direct Primary Care is not insurance; however, patients may use their health insurance if Dr. Hanna refers them for imaging studies or to see a specialist.

The PACK Hosts Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

The PACK (Pisgah After Care Kids) is the childcare ministry of Pisgah Methodist Church. Pisgah has been a continuous faith community in Florence since 1806. It has deep roots for strong growth.

Each day, students have an opportunity for devotion, homework time, outside free play, arts and crafts, games, puzzles, and snacks. Chapel is held weekly, and field trips, guest speakers, mission projects, and special events are planned throughout the year.

On The Go Opens Downtown Location

A ribbon cutting was held Thursday, May 11th at On the Go, celebrating its continued membership in the Greater Florence Chamber of Commerce. Joining in the celebration was the Owner, Johnny Rishmawi, Mayor Teresa Myers Ervin, family, staff, chamber staff and ambassadors. Their current location is at 221 W. Darlington St. in downtown Florence.

Jiana Rishmawi cut the ribbon. She was joined by her uncle Johnny Rishmawi (owner), his family, the mayor, store staff, Chamber staff and Chamber ambassadors for the celebration.

The store opened the first week of May. The Downton location represents the third On the Go in Florence for Johnny Rishmawi.

Walmart Supercenter On North Beltline Drive Holds Grand Re-Opening After Renovations

The Walmart Supercenter on North Beltline Drive officially “reopened” on Friday after months of renovations.

The store now has more items for sale in every department, new signs, more registers and a mural celebrating the past and present of Florence. Florence Mayor Teresa Myers Ervin and Greater Florence Chamber of Commerce members helped representatives from Walmart cut the ceremonial ribbon to announce the reopening.

“Walmart has shown itself to be a part of our community as a good supporter of our community,” Ervin said. “Thank you for all you do in Florence.”

Before the ribbon cutting, Walmart presented checks for $2,000 to two local groups: the Florence Police Department and One Child at a Time.
