The Pines At Florence To Host Police Remembrance Day September 27

National Police Remembrance Day started in 1989. It was established to honor police officers who lost their lives in the line of duty. This day provides a moment where we reflect on the bravery and sacrifices made by these officers. It was initiated by police jurisdictions across Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, and the Solomon Islands to recognize their fallen members collectively.

This decision led to the first National Police Remembrance Day being held in 1989. Over the years, it has become a significant day for police forces and the public alike. This tribute to police officers who have died while serving their communities, marking the significance of their service and sacrifice. Many would not walk in their shoes, and it is now the “End of Watch”. Join us as we honor and never forget the sacrifice and countless tears behind the loss of these individuals. Our Memorial service will begin at 3pm. We will have blue ribbons on hand for your lapel if you have none. Pines at Florence cares and will never forget.
