Junior Leadership Florence County Participates Social Issues and Community Service Day

Junior Leadership Florence County had a successful Social Issues and Community Service Day on Thursday, December 7th. The group of high school sophomores and juniors helped with Lighthouse Ministries’ Strengthening Families Program, created cards for Lydia’s Nest Operation Christmas Angels, and completed a shift at the Harvest Hope Food Bank’s new location. The JLFC program is possible through the partnership of Clemson Extension Florence County SC 4-H, Francis Marion University, and the Greater Florence Chamber. Thank you to Lighthouse Ministries, Lydia’s Nest, and Harvest Hope Foodbank for December’s session. 2 Florence Valvoline Locations Join Florence Chamber

Valvoline joined The Greater Florence Chamber and Ambassadors for a ribbon cutting at their two locations in Florence.

Christmas Magic To Light Up Downtown Florence

The Pee Dee is feeling the Christmas spirit. The magic of Christmas is especially strong in and around downtown Florence.

The Florence Downtown Development Corp. and Greater Florence Chamber of Commerce are encouraging residents to shop local retailers and dine in local restaurants.

The Downtown Development Corp. has put up its Downtown Holiday Music and Light Show.  The light show is synchronized with Christmas music that will be playing from 5:30 to 10 p.m. nightly through Dec. 31, Florence Downtown Development Manager Hannah Davis said.

The light show is located in the 100 block of South Dargan Street in downtown Florence.

Bella Vista Creations Celebrates Membership With Ribbon Cutting

Owner Belinda Gleaton along with her husband Travis and aunt, along with Chamber Ambassadors is welcomed to the Greater Florence Chamber of Commerce with her ceremonial ribbon cutting.

Bella Vista Decor has been in business for more than 8 years but has recently moved to the Florence area. They are certified through IWED as a certified experienced event planner and decorator. They have worked with several professionals/celebrities throughout the years, while traveling from state to state to design their clients’ special events.

Belinda relocated her business to Florence because of a great opportunity with my husband new job as Vice President of Student Services at Florence Darlington Technical College.
