The Pines at Florence Assisted Living Holds Ribbon Cutting
/in Frontpage Article, Images, News, Ribbon Cuttings /by Mandy HowleLaura Camper along with staff and Chamber Ambassadors cut their ribbon joining the Greater Florence Chamber of Commerce for The Pines at Florence assisted living.
The Pines is a live-in care and board for seniors through apartment living with onsite around the clock caregivers and medication technicians. The Pines provides a homelike setting with meals, active programming, socialization, wellness programs, spiritual support and community outings. They can transport residents for medical appointments. They also have internal onsite medical professionals to complete care and support a healthy well-being for all residents.
The Pines provides service care to those with Alzheimer’s and Dementia in their Memory Care unit. It is a secured unit with specialized and educated care givers in cognition and behavioral needs and active programming. They provide the benefits and services of living at home and can prevent caregiver stress and undue hardships on the resident and families.

Fellows in Education Visit North Vista Elementary
/in Frontpage Article, Images, News /by Mandy HowleLast week, North Vista Elementary welcomed the 2024-2025 Fellows in Education Class to their new school. The Fellows group met with the school principal, Mrs. Sharon Dixon, to learn about the staff educational focus, and creative student interests. Participants then explored the school by participating in a scavenger hunt and later visited select classrooms sessions. They closed the afternoon with a great lunch and a question-and-answer session with Florence 1 Schools Superintendent, Dr. Rich O’Malley.
The class of 30 local civic and business leaders will visit 8 different Florence 1 Schools over the next 8 months to share firsthand what is occurring in the district each day as we educate our children.
Fellows In Education is a joint program between Florence 1 Schools, the School Foundation and the Greater Florence Chamber of Commerce.

HopeHealth Welcomes New Provider

Dr. Gupta graduated from the University of Toronto Mississauga in Mississauga, Ontario with an Honours Bachelor of Science. He received his doctorate degree from Windsor University School of Medicine in Saint Kitts and Nevis. He completed his residency at the University of North Dakota family medicine program in Minot, North Dakota. In medical school, Dr. Gupta helped provide community education on vaccines and administered vaccines in multiple public health fairs.
Dr. Gupta’s clinical interests include cancer screening, obesity medicine, pediatric medicine, and preventive care.

5th Annual KFB Lynches River Adventure Race

In addition, a portion of the proceeds is also being earmarked to help keep parts of Lynches River clear of debris so that everyone can continue to enjoy the river.

Asset Technology Group Relocates Headquarters To Florence
