The Chamber and Francis Marion University Thursday, January 11th, 2018, for a very special event honoring the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Our 20th annual Martin Luther King Jr. kicks off on the campus of Francis Marion University with a 6:15 candlelight march from the Wallace House front lawn to Chapman auditorium. We ask that individuals please arrive by 6:00 pm to participate in the march at 6:15 pm. The program MLK Celebration of the Arts follows at 6:30 PM at FMUs Chapman Auditorium. The event is sponsored by McLeod Health and HopeHealth.
Praise in Motion Dance Ministry, Young Gifted and Blessed Gospel Choir and other dedications and tributes will be performed to honor and celebrate the legacy of Dr. King.
Our keynote speaker for the evening will be Florence City Councilwoman, Teresa Myers-Ervin.
This event is free and open to the public.
