South Carolina Tax Free Weekend

South Carolina’s Tax Free Weekend is coming up August 6 – 8. This annual Sales Tax Holiday was established to help families prepare for the school year and includes a variety of items for school, home, and personal use. During the Sales Tax Holiday, consumers can purchase a variety of items like computers, clothing, and school supplies – online or in a store – without paying the state’s 6% Sales Tax and any applicable local taxes. The South Carolina Department of Revenue is encouraging shoppers to buy local, both online and in stores, during Tax Free Weekend.
